A book’s cover aims to inform the audience about its contents. I opted for a breathtaking Serengeti sunset with an Acacia tree. In the book’s opening paragraph, my unshakeable faith is compared to the fire-resistant tree. The cover resonated with my story.
My writing teacher advised me to question my judgment on using this cover. I corrected my mistake when someone asked if Africa was in the book—it is not. You’re the first to see the new cover, as it hasn’t been officially updated yet, but hopefully, it will be by the time you read this. The picture is the face of my son’s killer, Tyrone, as I (a replica of me) enter the prison to meet him.
I can’t think of a more fitting cover for this description of my third book, Deep Inside: Forgiving the Unforgivable, Loving the Unlovable.
A chilling behind-bars encounter with a killer unfolds.
Step into the heart-wrenching world of his victim’s grieving mother.
Can the unforgivable be forgiven?
As Tammy Horvath grapples with the weight of depression following her profound loss, she discovers that no amount of exercise can completely mend her shattered soul. The quest for genuine healing takes a courageous turn as she confronts the murderer, unraveling the haunting mysteries behind Luke’s tragic death.
Are the roots of Tammy’s faith deep enough to make a difference? Or are Tammy’s friends right in warning her against facing a cold-blooded killer?
Here’s the link to the book. It’s free for subscribers of Kindle Unlimited.
I would appreciate your thoughts on the new cover for Book 3 in the Journeys Through Life series.
I love both covers but totally agree that the second one is more fitting for the content. It draws me into the drama of the subject. I want to know more…good work!
Thanks so much for your support and encouragement, Jennie.
Tammy, that new cover is perfect and fits the theme of the book. I like it!
Thanks so much. I love it too.
